Many marketeers just give away ebooks willy-nilly from their sites. By adding a bit of scientific thought, and a more targeted approach, these instructions can dramatically improve your cash flow.

1. Allow other e-zine publishers or web site owners to republish small nuggets or excerpts of information from your ebook with your byline or ad included.
2. Make extra profits from selling monthly updates of your ebook. You could also back-end sell the extra, never released chapters of your e-book.
3. Give away a free ebook and then give people an option of buying the paid version of the ebook. Also, let others give away the free version of your ebook.
4. Divide your ebook content into reports, then give people the option of just purchasing the info they want.
5. Purchase reprint rights to other people's ebooks and combine them with yours in a large package deal or private ebook library web site.
6. Change the benefits on your ebook ad copy into links. When people click on it, take them right to the order page. It'll give them the urge to buy your ebook.
7. Charge people a cheap price to read half of your ebook. If they like it, they can pay full price to read the other half.

14. Give your prospects discount coupons on other products when they purchase your ebook. It could be your products or others that you made deals with.
15. Divide your ebook into online newsletter issues. You could charge a recurring monthly subscription for people to view each issue.

If you want to put a book on an iPad, you have a few options. eBooks come in several formats and depending on the format of your book, you will find one of the following methods suitable.

Steps

ePub Format
ePubs are the open format that the Apple iBook and several other electronic book sellers support.

1. Put the iBook application on your iPad. This application is available for free in the App Store.
2. From iTunes on your computer, import the ePub file. Do this in iTunes by selecting File and the Add to Library.
3. Sync the iPad to your computer. You may need to manually check the book name in iTunes to sync onto your computer from the Books tab.

Kindle Format
Amazon Kindle format is a closed format which is only supported by Amazon products.

1. Put the Kindle app on your Ipad. You can obtain this application from the App Store.
2. Purchase a Kindle formatted book on Amazon.com on your computer, or directly into the iPad. If necessary, log into your Amazon account. Head to "Manage My Kindle" and direct the ebook to appear in your iPad's Kindle.

PDF Format

1. Download one of the many available PDF readers from the App Store.
2. Follow the directions for that specific PDF reader to read books on your iPad.

How to Operate the Amazon Kindle

Operating an Amazon Kindle reader is easy but the following basic tips will make using the device even easier. The Kindle can also be used for basic web browsing and listening to music. The following tips deal only with downloading and reading articles or books.

Steps

1. Turn on the Amazon Kindle by moving the switch, located in the back of the reader, up. You will see the On and Off buttons.
2. To turn the Kindle off slide the switch to the Off position.
3. To read a stored Kindle selection, select the Menu button.
4. From Menu slide the button upward to Home. Depress the the white button. A selection of stored books and related reading material will be shown.
5. Move the white selection button to what you would like to read.
6. Once the selection is made, depress the white roller button. Your chosen selection will open to the first page of the book or article; or to the last page read. Other options inside the book or article include Go to Cover which takes you to the cover of the book; Go to Beginning which takes you to the start of the book; Go to Location which will you to select a page to read; Add Bookmark which will allow you to save a location.
7. To change the font size for a book or article select the Text button on the keyboard. The Text button has both a smaller and large "A" on the keyboard button.
8. A floating menu will appear on the screen. Select the text size by moving the white roller button among the selections. Depress the button once you have selected the correct font. The Kindle will then return to the original page you were reading after the selection is made.
9. Turn the Whispernet button on. The button is located in the back next to the On button.
10. To purchase documents once again return to the menu. Depress the white roller button when you select Shop in Kindle Store.
11. Select the article or book of your choice using the white roller button.
12. Purchase the item.
13. Your purchase is downloaded using Whispernet.
14. Use the roller button to select Check for New Items.
15. Open your new selection and start reading using the tips given.

 

Tips

• Turn the Whispernet off to prolong battery life.
• Whispernet may not be available in all areas. Check Amazon.com for area coverage.
• Kindle users can also download files using a 2.0 USB connection. For further information read the Kindle guide enclosed with every Kindle sold.
